It is that time of the week when we put our heads on the chopping block with Planet Rugby’s predictions.

With the Six Nations taking a final break before the final two rounds our attention is on Super Rugby and the action in the Premiership, PRO12 and Top 14.

As ever there’s plenty of excellent value to be found with Paddy Power.

So, let’s get to it.

Super Rugby

Highlanders v Hurricanes

A re-match of last year’s Super Rugby final sees both sides limping into the contest off defeats, but we like the look of the Highlanders to bounce back at home. The Hurricanes are outsiders at 17/10.

A Hurricanes lead at half-time followed by a Highlanders win is well priced at 13/2 as is a Highlander’s try as the first score of the game at 7/2.

Superstar full-back Ben Smith should be considered as a first try scorer at 12/1, as should Julien Savea for the ‘Canes after a quiet game in Round 1. We’re backing the Highlanders to win this by seven.

Sharks v Jaguares

The Jaguares are looking to end their South African tour with another win after edging out the Cheetahs by a point last Friday. That said they’re 13/10 outsiders for this trip to Durban.

Argentina scrum-half Martín Landajo scored twice last week and is 9/4 to do the same again anytime.

Despite the remarkable number of Test players in their squad, we’re going for the Jaguares to miss out as the Sharks win by eight.

Other Super Rugby scores:

Chiefs v Lions – Chiefs by 9
Reds v Force – Reds by 3
Bulls v Rebels – Bulls by 12
Cheetahs v Stormers – Stormers by 15

Premiership

Newcastle v Worcester

Worcester are big outsiders at 15/8 given Newcastle’s recent run of big scalps at home, but with both sides desperate to move further away from bottom side London Irish.

New signing Francois Hougaard has been on fire for the Warriors and is 20/1 to be the first try scorer in his third match.

This one is set to be played out in horrid conditions and we expect Newcastle’s pack to have the narrow edge.

Other Premiership scores:

Sale v Harlequins – Sale by 5
Gloucester v Wasps – Wasps by 6
Saracens v Northampton – Saracens by 3
Bath v London Irish – Bath by 12
Leicester v Exeter – Exeter by 5

PRO12

Scarlets v Treviso – Scarlets by 8
Edinburgh v Connacht – Connacht by 3
Ulster v Zebre – Ulster by 9
Leinster v Ospreys – Leinster by 5
Munster v Dragons – Munster by 7
Glasgow v Blues – Glasgow by 6

Top 14

Grenoble v Clermont – Clermont by 5
Brive v Toulouse – Toulouse by 8
Pau v Stade Français – Stade by 9
Racing 92 v Agen – Racing by 15
Montpellier v Castres – Montpellier by 5
La Rochelle v Toulon – Toulon by 8
