Sorry, the RWC isn't really going to Qatar (for now anyway). Here are the best stories from April 1st.

As some of you guessed correctly our stories about the 2023 Rugby World Cup and Francois Steyn's trip to Switzerland aren't actually true. Nor is Jannie du Plessis a certified lawyer.

We've rounded up some other top rugby-related April Fools so you don't have to.

Wasps, Cardiff Blues and Glasgow Warriors are all set for radical stadium upheavals, with Wasps building a retractable garden roof to go top of the Ricoh Arena.

Glasgow are building a new fishnet roof while the Blues have had to revert back to a grass pitch following a bug infestation.

Newcastle Falcons will be adding capes to their kit for next season while Saracens prop Petrus du Plessis is set for bigger things, starring in the new Taken film with Liam Neeson.

There was a nasty shock for the Blitzbokke following Frankie Horne's shock defection to Kambezi while it's even worse for the Springboks with Willem Alberts turning his skills to cricket.

Big name sponsorships also got in on the act, with BMW unveiling a new range of mouthguards with Chris Robshaw. Martin Johnson has also done his part to stop people using 2003 pin numbers with MasterCard.
