Former Rugby League star Ben Te’o’s debut for Leinster lasted just 19 minutes during Friday’s 33-18 win over Edinburgh in the Pro12.

The New Zealander broke his arm in an innocuous tackle midway through the first half with his side up 12-0.

Less than a month after winning the NRL premiership with South Sydney, Te’o made his highly anticipated Union debut in the famous number 13 jersey vacated by Brian O’Driscoll.

It is not yet clear for how long he will be sidelined.
