Saracens centre Duncan Taylor will remain in the care of his club’s medical team for further assessment.
Taylor sustained a hamstring injury against Newcastle Falcons in the English Premiership on Sunday.
The centre’s injury will be a blow for club and country considering he has 16 caps for Scotland and over a half-century for Saracens with 65.
Taylor started his international career with Scotland A and sealed his rise to fame with a spectacular try against England Saxons.
He made his first senior squad inclusion when he was called up for the June tour of South Africa in 2013.
