Taulupe Faletau, Dan Biggar available for Ireland clash

Wales' Taulupe Faletau and Dan Biggar have recovered from their respective injuries and will be in contention to face Ireland in the Six Nations.

They are joined by Leigh Halfpenny and Ross Moriarty, who were doubtful for this weekend’s encounter, in being available for the game at the Aviva Stadium.

Faletau suffered a knee injury when playing for Bath back in December while Biggar came off with a shoulder problem against Clermont Auvergne in the Champions Cup.

Halfpenny missed the clash with England due to a foot infection and Moriarty, like his fly-half team-mate, had troubles with his shoulder, but forwards coach Robin McBryde confirmed that all four could play on Saturday.

"Everyone has been given the green light,” McBryde told the Welsh Rugby Union website. "Obviously a few boys are happy they have scored at the weekend and have had some good wins.

"They are back with a spring in their steps and looking forward to Saturday. It is always good to have plenty to choose from. It gives a competitive edge to the squad.

"There will be a few tough calls on some individuals and we look forward to having that discussion later."
