Toulon second row Romain Taofifenua has been cited for allegedly kicking Stuart Olding in Saturday’s win for Toulon over Ulster.

Toulon second row Romain Taofifenua has been cited for allegedly kicking Stuart Olding in Saturday’s win for Toulon over Ulster.

The lock caught Olding in a ruck in the second half of the clash at Ravenhill, but was not penalised at the time.

He has since been cited and is alleged to have kicked the Ulster centre, Olding, in the head in the 47th minute of the Pool 3 game in contravention of Law 10.4(c).

He will face a disciplinary hearing on Thursday with the suspension for kicking an opponent ranging from four to 52 weeks.

It would be a big blow for the 24-year-old, who has been enjoying a successful season with Toulon having recently joined from Perpignan.

He was named in the French squad for the November Tests but could now be banned depending on the outcome of the hearing.
