Clermont winger David Strettle has been ruled out for the remainder of 2016 due to a finger injury.

Strettle will be sidelined for four weeks after he sustained the injury to his index finger in Clermont’s 39-32 Champions Cup defeat to Ulster at the Kingspan Stadium on Saturday.

Strettle was replaced by Alivereti Raka early in the first half of that clash. After passing all the necessary examinations and receiving medical advice it was decided that he will not undergo surgery on his injury.
