The Kings will be without centre Andries Strauss for the upcoming Super Rugby relegation decider against the Lions.
The Southern Kings will be without centre Andries Strauss for the upcoming Super Rugby relegation/promotion decider against the Lions.
Strauss revealed the news on Twitter, forcing him to miss out on the crucial two-match series.
The former Sharks centre sustained the injury during a training session on Friday morning.
The new will come as a major blow to the Kings given the experience of Strauss and the fact that club captain Luke Watson is already on the sidelines.
Ronnie Cooke, Hadleigh Parkes or Waylon Murray will not make up the centres in the absence of Strauss.
“Broke my hand in training today, gutted to have to end my season on the sideline. Big couple of weeks ahead,” said Strauss on Twitter.
