The Brumbies should know on Sunday whether winger Henry Speight will be available for next week's Super Rugby semi-final against the Hurricanes.

Speight was shown a red card in Saturday's victory over the Stormers in Cape Town and Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham has confirmed that they expect to face a hearing on Sunday.

Spieght was sent off for a dangerous tackle on Juan de Jongh in the closing stages of the clash at Newlands.

The case is to be considered in the first instance by SANZAR Duty Judicial Officer Nigel Hampton.

All SANZAR disciplinary matters are in the first instance referred to a Duty Judicial Officer hearing to provide the option of expediting the judicial process.

For a matter to be dispensed with at this hearing, the person appearing must plead guilty and accept the penalty offered by the DJO.
