Special jersey for Pumas against SA

Argentina will run out in a special commemorative jersey in their two clashes against South Africa over the next fortnight.

Los Pumas are commemorating 50 years since their 1965 tour of Zimbabwe (then known as Rhodesia) and South Africa, during which a local journalist first coined the nickname 'Pumas' and the tourists recorded a famous win against the Junior Springboks at Ellis Park.

Argentina will wear the jersey in Saturday's Rugby Championship clash in Durban and again in the pre-World Cup friendly at Estadio Vélez in Buenos Aires on August 15.

The design of the new kit aims to captured the essence or the 1965 shirt while adapting to the needs of the modern game.
