South African hooker swaps French clubs

Oyonnax hooker Jody Jenneker has announced that he has signed a two-year contract with Top 14 rivals Castres from next season.

The 31-year-old South African shared the news on Twitter, announcing that he will be leaving Oyonnax after four years at the club with whom he won the Pro D2 title in 2013 and with it promotion to the Top 14.

The former Sharks front-rower will reunited with his former coaches, Christophe Urios, Joe El-Abd and Frederic Charrier as well as former Oyonnax team-mates Benjamin Urdapilleta and Antoine Tichit when he joins Castres for the 2016/17 season.

In other news from Castres, Romania prop Mihaita Lazar has signed a new two-year contract extension at the club.
