Highlanders and All Blacks fly-half Lima Sopoaga will continue playing his provincial rugby for the Southland Stags.
Sopoaga, who recently re-signed with the Highlanders and New Zealand Rugby Union, has also signed acontract extension with Southland.
Rugby Southland general manager Andrew Moreton confirmed that the 24-year-old has signed a deal with the Invercargill-based union until the end of 2018.
"We are really excited to be able to re-sign him for another two years and he is excited to be coming back to Southland as well," he told Fairfax Media.
Sopoaga's provincial career started with Wellington in 2010. He made a surprise move to Southland in 2014.
