Toulon may have to say goodbye to a second World Cup winner at the end of the season with reports Juan Smith is to leave the club.

The South African back row is reported to be heading back to his homeland at the end of this campaign by L’Equipe.

His current contract is up at the end of the season, and he will not be signing a new deal according to the French newspaper.

That follows Bakkies Botha’s decision to retire at the end of the current campaign, meaning Toulon will lose two World Cup winners and two starters from last year’s double winning side.

Smith had been outstanding for the club from the Var since arriving last season. He scored the second try in Toulon’s Heineken Cup final win over Saracens in May.
