Connacht could be boosted by the return of several first-team players ahead of their PRO12 game against Cardiff Blues at the Sportsground.
The province's medical team provided an update that Tom McCartney, Denis Buckley, Ronan Loughney, Sean O’Brien, Nepia Fox Matamua, John Cooney and Matt Healy have all returned to full training and will be monitored closely ahead of the team selection for Friday's match.
In other news, Ivan Soroka (foot) is continuing his rehabilitation under the supervision of the medical and fitness team and is due to return to play in mid-January while Andrew Browne (ankle) sustained an injury two weeks ago. He has undergone surgery and is due to return to play in February.
Rory Molony (concussion), Eoghan Masterson (knee), Shane O’Leary (concussion), Eoin Griffin (chest), Josh Rowland (ankle) and Darragh Leader (hand) all remain on the sidelines.
