Season over for Lydiate

Wales and Ospreys flanker Dan Lydiate will have surgery this week on the bicep injury he suffered in the New Year’s Eve win at the Dragons.

The international back-row forward left the action during the first period at Rodney Parade and will now miss the remainder of this campaign.

Ospreys Chris Towers, Medical Performance Manager, confirmed: “After speaking to consultants and seeking specialist opinion, the decision has been taken in Dan’s best interests to undergo surgery. That process will take place this week, ruling him out of consideration for the rest of the current season.”
