Scottish clubs want Jones

Scotland are keen to bring Stormers centre Huw Jones to the country to play for a Scottish club according to reports.

The 22-year-old has played most of his senior rugby in South Africa since playing for University of Cape Town in 2014 before donning a Western Province jersey later that year.

But after some impressive performances for the Stormers Western Province, and then Scotland in 2016, the national side wants him to sign for a Scottish club according to the BBC.

This would mean the centre would play for either Edinburgh or Glasgow Warriors if he can be convinced to leave South Africa where he is apparently very happy according to his agent.

Due to World Rugby rules players must be released for the international window, which means Jones would be on duty for Scotland for a large part of Super Rugby due to the Six Nations being played at the same time.
