Glasgow Warriors have confirmed that Scotland back Sean Lamont will be sidelined for up to six weeks with ligament damage.

The wing/centre was stretchered off against the Ospreys in the Pro12 last month, and although he does not require an operation, he faces a battle to be fit in time for the Six Nations.

Promising lock Jonny Gray, who made his Scotland debut in November, is also expected to be out of action for around eight weeks with an ankle injury, but will not undergo surgery.

Skipper Al Kellock completes the Warriors' sick-list, as medics investigate a hand injury picked up against Cardiff Blues at Scotstoun on Friday.
