Scotland flankers Alasdair Strokosch and Kelly Brown have had their tours prematurely ended after they suffered respective injuries against Canada.

The pair sustained the problems during the 19-17 win in Toronto, with Strokosch stretchered from the field after taking a blow to his shoulder/neck.

“He will require a short period of recovery for soft-tissue injuries,” explained Scotland team doctor, James Robson, in a medical update on Sunday.

Brown meanwhile suffered damage to his left arm/shoulder and is to return home to the care of his club medical team at English side Saracens.

Scotland face Argentina in Córdoba on Friday.
