New Zealand centre Sonny Bill Williams may miss next week’s game with England after agitating a thigh injury in Chicago.

Williams scored two tries in an impressive return against the USA, making an impact in his first Test since 2012.

The cross-code star departed before the 60-minute mark with a corked thigh, but whether 100 percent healthy for England or not Williams doesn’t expect to waltz back into the All Blacks starting XV.

“There’s talent everywhere in the squad and that’s what makes the All Blacks so good,” said Williams.

“You can’t let your foot off the gas for one second or someone’s going to take your spot.

“I’m happy biding my time and just working on those little things.”

Interestingly, Williams revealed that the professionalism of the All Blacks had been something he’d missed more than he realised while back in Rugby League.

“I’d forgotten how much I missed it and how professional it is,” added Williams.

“Every resource is there to improve yourself as a player. I find that really awesome.”

Williams’ brace was part of a heavy 12-try win for the All Blacks on US soil, infront of a 62,000 sellout crowd.
