Northampton Saints confirmed on Thursday that 13 players have signed new contracts with the club.

Of that group, a dozen are Saints Academy products and the same number have represented their country at youth level, while six have first team honours to their name.

Backs Tom Collins, George Furbank, Rory Hutchinson, Harry Mallinder, Sam Olver and Howard Packman will be staying at Franklin’s Gardens, along with forwards Will Allman, Sion Bennett, James Fish, Lewis Ludlam, Alex Moon, Jordan Onojaife and Josh Peters.

"The Saints Academy has a history of producing very good players for the first team, particularly in recent years," director of rugby Jim Mallinder told Northampton Saints' official website.

"Some of those are among the batch who have signed new deals, while we see plenty of potential for the rest to follow suit in the coming seasons.

"The Academy continues to play an important role for the club, so we’re pleased that their development will continue with the Saints."
