Munster have reported that Francis Saili suffered a concussion in Friday's pre-season victory over London Irish.

The former All Blacks midfielder was stretchered off in alarming scenes for Munster supporters given the hopes surrounding their new signing for the new season after his arrival from the Blues.

Saili had opened the scoring for the Irish province before the incident occured in the second half.

Head coach Anthony Foley later suggested that the injury wasn't quite as bad as initially feared but the Saili had been treated in hospital.

Andrew Conway scored twice as Munster won the contest 21-15 against the visiting Premiership side.
