Date published: February 12 2018

Another busy day in the rugby union game as Ireland suffered another injury blow after Robbie Henshaw was ruled out of the Six Nations.

What’s on the site

Following the second round of the Six Nations, we named our Team of the Week, which included four players each from Scotland and England.

There are also highlights from the Scots’ victory over France, as well as the Aviva Premiership and Guinness PRO14.

Super Rugby starts this weekend and today we previewed the Hurricanes, who reached the semi-finals in last season’s competition.

Finally, hot and not rounds up who’s performed and who’s faltered over the past week.

What’s in the news

Ireland saw Robbie Henshaw ruled out of the Six Nations after a shoulder injury picked up in their victory over Italy, while French players were spoken to by police after an alleged incident last night.

In club matters, Wasps have confirmed that Danny Cipriani will leave the club at the end of the season with Lima Sopoaga due to join for the start of 2018/19.

What’s on social media

It is fair to say that post-match media duties are not the most joyous parts of a rugby player’s career and it seems their family members can get a bit bored too.

What’s on TV

The Six Nations takes a break but Super Rugby begins this weekend and Sky Sports are showing the Stormers-Jaguares and Lions-Sharks matches. They also have two games each from the PRO14 and Top 14.

Meanwhile, BT Sport have three matches from the Aviva Premiership with Sale-Saracens, Leicester-Harlequins and Wasps-Exeter all being televised.
