Clermont stalwart Aurélien Rougerie might not be hanging up his boots at the end of the season as planned after all.
The 35-year-old was set to retire at the end of the 2016/17 campaign but may well now extend his career by one more season with les Jaunards.
Rougerie's bright start to the season for Clermont, starting at outside centre last weekend in the draw with Stade Français after featuring off the bench in the first two games, has prompted coach Franck Azema to think about prolonging Rougerie's stellar career for another campaign.
Rougerie told Rugbyrama on Thursday that he was considering the option of one more campaign, saying that "the door is ajar."
He was last capped by France back in 2012 against Wales, his 76th appearance for his country.
