Romania were comfortable winners over USA with a 23-10 victory at Stadionul Arcul de Triumf in Bucharest on Saturday.

It's USA's second defeat on their November tour after also going down to the Maori All Blacks in Chicago last week. The Eagles finish their tour next week against Tonga.

Romania used its pack and set pieces to great effect in the first half, scoring the match's first try through lock Johan Van Heerden five minutes after center Florin Vlaicu missed a penalty. The backs proved dangerous as well, scoring the second try in the 11th minute when full-back Catalin Fercu chased down his scrum-half's kick over the defence.

Vlaicu extended the lead to 15-0 after 16 minutes before Viorel Lucaci managed to put the ball down in the corner through a Blaine Scully tackle five minutes from the break.

Will Holder scored USA's only try of the match while adding the conversion and a penalty to be his team's sole points-scorer.
