Wales inside centre Jamie Roberts fears this Friday’s Six Nations clash could be his last for his country due to the strength in depth the squad boasts.
Roberts, who was selected ahead of in-form Scarlets back Scott Williams, will line up alongside Jonathan Davies against England in Cardiff.
But the 28-year-old is under no illusions that his jersey is a given in 2015, with the dynamic Williams pushing hard for a starting place.
“Your place is always under threat,” Roberts told BBC Sport.
“Certainly Scott has had a wonderful season with his club side, and international rugby is about competition for places and it drives me to be a better player.”
He added: “You see him [Williams] playing well for his club and you’re always worried about your position, you never take it for granted.
“I know this week could be my last game for Wales.”
