The rumour mill is linking British and Irish Lions centre Jamie Roberts with a move from Racing Métro to Aviva Premiership side Harlequins.
The Wales centre's contract with the Top 14 club runs until the end of the 2015-16 season but it has been widely reports that Roberts is keen on a move to England, which Racing are willing to consider.
Fresh reports claim that Roberts has held talks with Quins director of rugby Conor O’Shea and that a deal could be signed by the end of the month.
The move is believed to be motivated by the Roberts' desire to further his medical studies (he is already a qualified doctor) with one of the nearby universities.
"‘I’ve looked at Oxford and Cambridge," Roberts told Sportsmail last month.
"I’m 28 — hopefully I’ve got another four or five years of rugby — and I have to lay foundations now.
"I’ve always been used to that playing and studying combination, which I miss in Paris."
