Tasman have moved Robbie Malneek to full-back in place of James Lowe for their ITM Cup clash with Waikato at Trafalgar Park in Nelson on Friday.

Malneek switches with Lowe, who will wear the eleven jersey, in an otherwise unchanged back-line from Sunday's 16-16 draw with Auckland.

Alex Ainley is given a start at lock in place of the benched Joe Wheeler while Ciua Halanukonuka comes in for Ross Geldenhuys at tighthead.

Meanwhile, Waikato have made four changes to their XV, with Josh Hohneck coming into the front-row to replace the suspended Ben Tameifuna.

Hooker Brayden Mitchell is back in the side while Marty Holah will start at number seven as Zak Hohneck sits this one out with a knee injury.

There is one change in the back-line with Jordan Payne slotting back in at outside centre.

On the bench prop James McGougan and scrum-half Harrison Levien make a return to the match-day 22, and hooker Harry Jones comes in to replace the injured Hame Faiva.
