Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac was delighted to end a run of three successive losses when they defeated Zebre in the PRO12 on Sunday.
The Welsh side had lost to Leinster, Northampton and Racing 92 during November but got back to winning ways over the weekend in Llanelli.
With two tries in the first 20 minutes, Scarlets were on course for a potential bonus-point victory. However, poor weather conditions dictated the style of play with Zebre coming back to score two tries of their own in the region's 20-12 victory,
Pivac was relieved to see his outfit claim the all important victory and four points to put them back in second place in the PRO12 standings.
"We're happy to get the win, that's the first thing that's obviously important in conditions like this. We knew this would be another hard game in the conditions," he said.
"I was pleased with the first 25/30 minutes where we took our opportunities but discipline then let us down in the last ten minutes of the first-half.
"At the end of the day four points in these conditions is important. We have a lot to work on from the second-half.”
Up next, Scarlets take on Treviso at their Stadio Monigo home on Saturday and Pivac is fully aware of the task ahead.
"It's not going to be easy," he said.
"We have to prepare well, get a good training week and improve on our discipline but we're excited about the next opportunity."
