France number eight Louis Picamoles has confirmed that he will join Northampton next season on a three-year deal.
The 29-year-old was one of France's best players at the World Cup, and has been at Toulouse for six seasons since joining in 2009.
However speculation over a move to the Premiership had been growing and he told RMC Sport that he will head to Franklin's Gardens to play for Saints from next year.
"I've made my decision," he told RMC Sport.
"I've told my current club. Next year I'm leaving for Northampton. For the next three seasons. It's above all a lifestyle choice. I have this opportunity in front of me.
"Given that I'll soon be 30, the chance to play abroad has always appealed to me and the chance came up. I think it's the right time to try this experience."
Picamoles has won 51 caps for France since making his debut back in 2008.
