Wales flanker Sam Warburton has been all but confirmed as the British and Irish Lions captain after a photo leak on Wednesday.
Warburton is due to be confirmed as Lions captain at Wednesday’s press conference at a hotel in London, when the squad will be revealed.
He would become the second player ever to be named Lions captain on two tours, after Martin Johnson led the side in 1997 and 2001.
Warburton missed the third Test in the 2013 series against Australia, which the Lions won 2-1.
What a lovely photo of a great Cardiff player. A very, very special player. Congratulations, Sam pic.twitter.com/faG5EtlM0C
