Tasman made it four bonus-point victories out of four in the ITM Cup on Friday when they beat Otago 34-17 at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin.

Leading 27-12 at the turnaround, the impressive Makos finished the job with their fourth try just two minutes after the interval against their spirited hosts.

Billy Guyton, Mitchell Scott and Marco Kotze were their scorers in the first-half, with veteran Robbie Malneek adding the all-important fourth try to the tally.

Credit to Otago who fought back from being 17-0 down after 24 minutes as Adam Knight and Thomas Franklin crossed but when Kotze scored just before the break, a possible comeback on home soil looked dead and buried.

Charlie O'Connell scored late on but Otago would finish with nothing to show for their efforts.
