Worcester full-back Chris Pennell is determined to bounce back when they face Harlequins in their Premiership clash at Sixways on Sunday.
After going down to Bristol 28-20 last time out the Warriors can feel their basement rivals breathing down their neck at the turn of the year.
But now back at home, Pennell thinks they can respond against Quins.
“At this time of year, with a lot of games close together, you get a quick opportunity to put things right,” he told Premiership Rugby.
“We’re back at home and that is something we can really get excited about, get positive about and use that home form to our advantage.
“Historically we are a tough side to beat at Sixways, but we need to be confident and make ourselves favourites to bring out that response.
“We owe the fans something, we owe ourselves something and there’s no better way to put right the Bristol game than by winning at home.”
Following that tough loss to Bristol, Pennell added: “We’re not hiding away from anything, we’ve spoken about our ambition earlier in the season, but we are where we are and we have to knuckle down and get on with the situation.
“When you find yourselves in situations like this, you start to question things and look for those positive changes when you hit a low.
“The only way out of this is positive thinking, the only way is up, so through adversity we’ll be able to pull together and address issues that have clearly been there.”
