Paulo on his way to Treviso

Treviso have announced the signing of Samoa second row Filo Paulo from Cardiff Blues for the 2015/16 season.

The 27-year-old's professional career started at North Harbour in the ITM Cup, who he represented on 35 occasions, and he also made 26 Super Rugby appearances for the Auckland-based Blues.

Paulo joined Cardiffs in 2013 and has played for them 51 times, scoring one try.

In the current season with the Blues he has made 13 appearances and played total of 894 minutes in the PRO12.

Paulo made his debut for Cardiff on March 23 2013 against Treviso, at the Monigo stadium, in a 26-17 victory forthe Italian outfit He has represented Samoa on 13 occasions at Test level..

Paulo is a physical player that makes his presence felt on the field and in the line-outs, he has 13 international caps for Samoa.

Paulo expressed his delight at his impending move.

"I am really excited to be joining Treviso," he said.

"Moving to the club will represent a fresh challenge on and off the field and the opportunity to experience a new culture was something that really appealed to me.

"I know about the club having played against them on a number of occasions now and Treviso is a very beautiful place.

"I know the club have a proud history, they are a big part of Italian rugby culture and they have a strong group of talented players so I will be working hard in order to deliver my very best rugby."
