The Pacific Nations Cup returned with a bang last week, and Samoa, Fiji and Japan will look to build on their victories when the action resumes this weekend in Round 2.

The big clash of the round takes place in Sacremento where Fiji and Samoa do battle. Sacremento will also be the venue for the clash between the USA and Canada.

The final match of the round takes place in Vancouver where hosts Canada face Tonga.

Canada boss Kieran Crowley has made three changes as Aaron Carpenter, John Moonlight and Andrew Tiedemann have stepped into the pack.

USA scrum-half Mike Petri will win his 50th cap when the Eagles face Japan.

His head coach Mike Tolkin wants the USA to play with more intensity than they showed against Samoa.

“We need to start the game with much more energy and intensity. We were on our heels a lot and we were loose around the rucks on defense.

“Secondly, we need much more focus on keeping the ball in the attacking 22 and coming out with points more often.”
