Oyonnax, whose budget will be upped to 15 million euros next season, have snapped up ex-Springbok back-row Pedrie Wannenburg from Castres.

The club finished in twelfth spot in the Top 14 this season, and have already sealed the signatures of strong back-row forwards Guillaume Bernad (Bayonne), Olivier Missoup (Stade Francais) and Maurie Fa'asavalu (Harlequins), as well as South African number ten Riaan Smit (Cheetahs).

The 33-year-old Wannenburg won 25 caps for the Springboks and was a Heineken Cup finalist with Ulster in 2012 before joining Castres shortly after.
