Ospreys prop set for surgery

Ospreys prop Dmitri Arhip is set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines after dislocating his shoulder during last week’s win in Grenoble.

He should undergo surgery next week, after which it is anticipated that he will be out of action for a period of around four to five months.

“Since returning from France at the weekend Dmitri has had scans which have been reviewed with a shoulder specialist at Spire. Following discussions the decision was that he requires surgery which we hope will take place next week,” said Medical Performance Manager, Chris Towers.

“At this early stage we are looking at him being unavailable for a period of four to five months.”
