Worcester Warriors flanker Alafoti Faosiliva has been found guilty of striking against Gloucester last week and is suspended for one week.
Faosiliva appeared before an RFU disciplinary panel on Wednesday charged with striking with the arm and/or elbow, contrary to law 10.4(a).
He pleaded guilty and was given a one-week ban. He is free to play again on September 18.
The Warriors’ player was sent off by referee Luke Pearce during last week’s Premiership match between Worcester and Gloucester for striking Mariano Galarza with his arm and/or elbow.
The incident occurred in the second-half of the game and was referred to the TMO for review before the back rower was red carded.
The RFU disciplinary panel comprised of Dan White (chairman), John Brennan and Tony Wheat.
