Munster skipper Peter O'Mahony is to see a specialist to reveal the extent of the injury sustained to his left shoulder.
O'Mahony left the field 19 minutes into his side's thumping 47-23 Heineken Cup quarter-final victory over Toulouse on Saturday gingerly cradling his left arm.
The back-row underwent a scan on Tuesday and the injury – an over-extension of the shoulder – will be reviewed further on Wednesday when he meets with the specialist.
Munster have also confirmed that try-scorer Casey Laulala sustained a broken bone in his right hand during the victory and he too will meet with the specialist on Wednesday for a further update.
