Ollivon ruled out for France

Bayonne number eight Charles Ollivon has had to withdraw from France’s Six Nations training squad because of an injured shoulder.

The 21-year-old, who won two caps in November, will be out for two weeks, having already struggled with a right shoulder problem in December.

That means he will be unavailable for the training camp at Canet-en-Roussillon with the rest of the squad, as well as Bayonne’s next two matches.

While he is not officially out of the first game of the championship against Scotland, it seems unlikely that he will be fit for that game.

The French coaching staff have not yet announced a replacement for Ollivon, with either a flanker or a number eight a possibility.
