Former Leinster head coach Matt O'Connor is one of a handful of names being linked with the Reds head coaching position.

O'Connor left Leinster at the end of last season after winning the PRO12 title in 2014. He was previously an assistant coach at Leicester Tigers.

The Reds have opened their head coach, attack coach and defence coach roles to applicants after a review of the dismal 2015 season.

Richard Graham, the current head coach, has been asked to re-apply for the role after a comprehensive review.

Other names being linked with the Reds according to the Courier Mail are Tim Lane, who was recently sacked by Lyon towards the end of last season, along with John Mulvihill, the former Western Force backs coach currently based in Japan.

Another name on the list is Scotland assistant coach Matt Taylor, whose contract expires after the Rugby World Cup.

The futures of John Connolly, who acted as a consultant for the Reds towards the end of the season, along with coaches Nic Stiles, Brad Thorn and Damien Marsh are all unclear.
