Northampton lose Clark to injury

Northampton Saints utility forward Calum Clark is expected to be sidelined for a lengthy period after he had shoulder surgery.

Clark sustained the injury during a pre-season match against Wasps.

He returned to training, but injured the shoulder again and will only return to action in 2016.

“Unfortunately Calum Clark has had to have an operation on his shoulder,” Saints director of rugby Jim Mallinder told the Northampton Chronicle and Echo.

“It’s a shame and he’s going to be out for a couple of months.”
