George North will not feature for Wales against Ireland on Saturday as he continues his recovery from a series of concussions.
After suffering three concussions in five months, North missed the last ten weeks of last season, and is still being monitored closely by the Welsh staff in the build-up to the World Cup.
And while he has been able to take part in training, he is unlikely to be risked in the first of Wales' World Cup warm-up matches against the Irish in Cardiff but could return for the return fixture in Dublin a fortnight later.
"George is going pretty well," said kicking coach, Neil Jenkins.
"He has done a lot of skills work and a fair bit of the rugby training we have done so far but he is still picking up on a few things and that’s to do with the medical staff. The hope is that he keeps progressing and will take some part in our games before the World Cup.
"I would not have thought he will be involved on Saturday but he could be involved in Dublin. We will wait and see what happens over the coming weeks."
