North impressing Halfpenny in training

Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny is looking forward to seeing his international team-mate George North back on the field soon.

North missed the end of last season after suffering multiple concussions throughout the campaign.

The British and Irish Lions winger though is now back fit and firing in training as Wales prepare for the Rugby World Cup, with Halfpenny delighted to see him making progress.

"George is keen to get back playing, and it's great to see him back," Halfpenny told Press Association Sport.

"He's a quality player, and it will be great to see him back on the field. He is looking great in training, so it will be a real boost to have him back.

"Concussion is a serious injury and it can be very dangerous, so it has to be dealt with in the right way, and the medical staff do deal with that extremely well.

"They make sure the player only comes back when it's completely right for them to play, and that's important."

Wales are next in action against Ireland in Dublin this weekend.
