All Blacks centre Ma'a Nonu will fly out a day later than the rest of the New Zealand squad as he battles an illness.
The squad will fly out of Auckland on Thursday with Nonu heading to London the following day.
Nonu is set to play a major role for the defending champions once their tournament kicks off against Argentina on September 20.
Head coach Steve Hansen was unconcerned by the slight delay to Nonu's departure ahead of the squad's Thursday flight.
"Ma'a is feeling a bit crook so as a precaution he is staying an extra day in Auckland and will fly out to London tomorrow," Hansen told Stuff.
The 2015 tournament will be Nonu's fourth Rugby World Cup after first appearing in 2003.
