New Zealand centre Ma'a Nonu is set to miss out in next weekend's Bledisloe Cup clash in Sydney against Australia.

A shoulder injury shortly after half-time saw Nonu replaced in the 27-20 win over South Africa in Johannesburg.

Stuff report that scans showed no serious damage although Nonu won't be rushed back into action until he has fully recovered. Malakai Fekitoa impressed off the bench at Ellis Park and could be called upon again.

Other options at inside centre include Sonny Bill Williams and Ryan Crotty.

Nehe Milner-Skudder, Sam Cane and Tawera Kerr-Barlow should feature over the next two weeks while Cory Jane continues his way back from an ankle sprain suffered playing for the New Zealand Barbarians, but won't play next weekend.

New Zealand are in position to secure their fourth Rugby Championship title in a row, tied on nine points with Australia ahead of the Sydney decider.
