Deon Stegmann has extended his contract with the Bulls for another season while Piet van Zyl and Travis Ismail are also staying put.
Former Springbok flanker, Stegmann, had been tipped to retire at the end of the season but has decided to play on for one more season, while Van Zyl and Ismail have signed two-year extensions.
JJ Engelbrecht and Grant Hattingh will also return for next year's Super Rugby competition, but will miss the Currie Cup after signing deals to play in Japan.
Meanwhile the Bulls have confirmed the rest of the Blue Bulls coaching staff for the Currie Cup season following the appointment of Nollie Marais as head coach.
Marais will also take charge of the forwards and he will be assisted by David Manuel as back-line coach.
Manuel, who was backline coach to the UP-Tuks Varsity Cup as well as the Blue Bulls Vodacom Cup and U21 teams respectively since 2012, was named backline coach to the Varsity Cup Dream Team earlier this year. He was head coach of the Blue Bulls/Tuks Rugby Academy from 2007 until 2012.
Pine Pienaar has been confirmed as defensive coach to all three sides, the same role he had with the Bulls in 2015 until at least October 2016 – this includes the Bulls in Super Rugby and Blue Bulls Vodacom Cup sides respectively for 2016 as well.
According to the High Performance Manager, Xander Janse van Rensburg, an announcement on the role of Bulls backline coach Pieter Rossouw, will be made soon.
