Glasgow Warriors have received a boost ahead of Saturday’s Champions Cup clash with Munster, with Scotland wing Tommy Seymour re-signing.
Seymour has signed for a further two years through until May 2019.
He follows Tim Swinson, Stuart Hogg, Henry Pyrgos, Adam Ashe and Greg Peterson in inking new deals with the club, while BT Sport Scottish Rugby Academy duo Lewis Wynne and Matt Smith have signed professional contracts this season.
“I’m delighted to be staying at Glasgow Warriors,” he told the club’s website.
“It’s a club which is close to my heart now and I’ve been part of a lot of changes which have happened with the move of venue, the development of the playing squad and the size of the crowd.
“You can see the supporters have taken to Scotstoun as if it’s their home as well. The chants, the songs and the vocal atmosphere they provide in my opinion is second to none and it really does provide an environment you can’t wait to go out and play in front of.
“The club has really built a big name for itself since I’ve been here and it’s something I’m keen to remain a part of.
“With the change of coaching staff next season it offers an exciting opportunity to carry on that development and really continue growing with the club.
“Dave Rennie is regarded as one of the best coaches in the world and we’re all really looking forward to working with him next season.”
