Montpellier have announced that scrum-half Benoît Paillaugue has extended his current club contract that expired in 2018 to June 2020.

The 29-year-old, who joined the club in 2009 from Auch, has become a regular at the Top 14 side and has played over 170 matches for them.

“I’m happy and motivated to continue my adventure at this ambitious club who welcomed me here more than eight years and whom I hope to win a major title,” he said, with Montpellier currently fourth in the league standings.
