Edinburgh have announced that tighthead prop Simon Berghan has confirmed his commitment to the club by extending his stay until May 2016.
The Scottish-qualified 24-year-old, born in Christchurch, joined the PRO12 side last season after spells with the Canterbury Academy and Crusader Knights.
"I'm delighted to have signed for another season with Edinburgh. Since arriving last April I have really enjoyed my time under Alan Solomons and Stevie Scott," front-row forward Berghan told Edinburgh's official website on Tuesday.
"We have been building well as a team this season which sets us up well for World Cup year and next season. Last night’s win against London Irish was a good indication that we are well and truly going in the right direction.
"As a team we are in a good space on and off the field and I'm looking forward to being a part of that going forward into next season."
