Crusaders left wing Nemani Nadolo said he would be avoiding friends Sekope Kepu and Wycliff Palu when he faces the Waratahs.
Crusaders wing Nemani Nadolo said he would be avoiding friends Sekope Kepu and Wycliff Palu when he faces the Waratahs in Sydney on Saturday.
The trio will be on the same ANZ Stadium surface but wearing different jerseys after they were all at the Australian franchise back in 2009's season.
But for the powerful Nadolo, he joked he won't go looking for the prop and number eight in Sydney.
“I'll try and run round them,” he told sportal.co.nz.
“I don't think I'll be running straight at them.”
Nadolo is one try off 'Tahs full-back Israel Folau in the try-scoring chart this season as he enjoys an outstanding debut campaign at the Crusaders.
“My goal coming here was to try and crack the team,” he said when reflecting on his 2014.
“It's been a great a year for me and something I'm very grateful for.
“To play in a final against my old club it can't get any better than that can it? I can't wait.”
He added on the upcoming Super Rugby Final: “From one to 15 they are really dangerous.”
“We've got to keep in mind they've got some very deadly individuals in that team.
“But we've done well against some strong sides over the course of the year so this will be no different for us.
“We've just got to make sure we front up. It's grand final footy. It will be a high tempo game and the team that doesn't crack will win it.”
